Job Description

The Opportunity

We’re expanding our Perth Operations and strengthening our team at ACCIONA. As we continue to grow our capabilities across current and upcoming major infrastructure projects across Pilbara, we’re seeking an experienced Planner to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and supporting the successful delivery of some of Western Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects, with FIFO opportunities.

As the Planner, you will be responsible for producing a program for the project management, design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments on costing schedules to identify potential delays of disputes
  • Review site monthly status reports and ensure that Construction Programmes satisfy the requirements of Tenders
  • Identify milestones, critical path tasks and long lead time tasks and reports against these (including estimating costs, preparing cost plans and estimates)
  • Review construction materials and methods used during construction processes, including making relevant interpretations of specifications, drawings and plans
  • Actively and constantly identify risk and improvement opportunities in relation to the area of control and the wider project
  • Plans the overall construction and operation of large-scale civil engineering projects by maintaining a project schedule that monitors project progress
  • Resolving problems
  • Monitor the financial performance of all elements of the program and progress.

Required Skills and Competencies

About You

  • 3 years' proven planning experience in a construction/engineering environment
  • Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgment, including balancing competing issues
  • Specialised knowledge of project scheduling and program logic networking
  • Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies
  • Presented problem-solving/analytical skills
