ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Excalibur Contractors are painting specialists delivering exceptional services to clients through Perth Metropolitan Area. Based in Booragoon, Excalibur are on the lookout for an apprentice with a passion for painting and is interested in joining their small team to support various projects from Rockingham to Yanchep.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity where the successful candidate will be enrolled to complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, supported by Excalibur Contractors and a nominated Registered Training Organisations (RTO).

As an apprentice, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to do a wide scope of work in the painting and decorating industry, this may include, preparing surfaces; applying paint by brushes, rollers and spray guns; hanging wallpaper; and making highlight walls. You'll also learn to perform measurements and calculations and read and interpret building plans and specifications.

You'll be supervised, supported, and motivated to work towards receiving your trade qualification.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Ideally, we're looking for a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice who is seeking a new challenge, however, candidates with relevant building and construction experience or qualifications will also be considered. 

You will also need:

• A driver's license


• A genuine interest in the trade


• Strong reliability and communication skills


• A sense of teamwork and ability to follow instructions
