We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join Palyku Resources and their Maintenance Team operating on a mine site in Pilbara.

This is a FIFO role with 8:6 roster.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Conduct building improvements to mine site and camp facilities.
  • Conduct improvement works to facilities.
  • Carry out required inspections.
  • Conduct stock level reports and material lists.
  • Work in a team environment alongside other tradesman and women.
  • Schedule and plan workload.
  • Work closely with the supervisor to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
  • Maintain and clean tooling and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Certification in Painting or related field.
  • Proven experience as a painter in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to scope maintenance works and small projects for material take off.
  • Non-negotiable safety attitude to undertaking all tasks in a safe manner and complete all required documentation prior to commencing such task.
  • Qualification to undertake working at heights duties for roof maintenance (Desirable)
  • Unrestricted C class drivers’ licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Other tasks as required that fall within skill sets.
