All Industries Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Painter / Blaster to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, follows strict safety standards, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial coating application, and ensuring all work aligns with AIG’s safety, quality, and operational requirements. The role requires both independent work and teamwork to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting (sand, grit, shot, or other media) to remove rust, scale, paint, and contaminants.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, priming, and removing old coatings.
- Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
- Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and required coating systems.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality compliance.
- Measure paint viscosity and thickness to achieve correct coverage and finish.
- Operate, maintain, and prestart blasting and painting equipment, including spray guns and air compressors.
- Use required PPE such as goggles and air‑fed helmets, ensuring proper ventilation and safe chemical disposal.
- Follow job specifications, drawings, coating system requirements, and AIG policies and procedures.
- Ensure all coatings meet industry, customer, and internal business system standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area at all times.
- Identify, report, and rectify safety, quality, process, or environmental issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to AIG’s mission, values, and KPIs.
- Work under limited supervision or within a team and complete tasks as directed by the Blast/Paint Team Leader.
- Undertake ongoing training to support professional growth.
