About the role

As a qualified painter you will be working on painting repairs, and exterior and interior repaint projects. You will ensure jobs are completed on schedule and within budget. This role will require prior experience in a similar role and the ability to liaise with clients to ensure a quality outcome. 

Critical responsibilities:

• Apply paint, stain and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers. 
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats. 
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting. 
• Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs. 
• Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas. Coordinate with vendor in order to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.

Successful Candidates will have:

• Extensive knowledge of surface preparation, colours, colour mixing, faux finishes

• Be a conscientious, reliable, team player with the ability to work autonomously as required

• Extensive knowledge of all paint materials including storage requirements

• Relevant Trade Certificate with demonstrated experience in a similar role
