ZEISS is a world leading Optics Company and we are preferably seeking an experienced Optical Mechanic / Fitter for our Tonsley based operation. Reporting to the Production Manager, your primary role will be responsible for providing a consistent quality product which can be delivered to the customer within expected time frames, meeting all quality standards. Whilst primarily focused on Cut Edge and Fit operations there will be a requirement to act as a back-up for all other aspects of the Rx Lens production operation as required
Associated duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for cutting and fitting of Ophthalmic lenses to all styles of spectacle frames
- Monitor equipment and processes completing agreed maintenance programs as requested.
- Responsible for carrying out equipment calibrations in accordance with quality requirements
- Contribute to the training and development of staff.
- Work in partnership with Lab Manager and team members to meet company targets and address any customer issue.
- Making precision optical parts
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience within an Optical Laboratory Fitting environment is highly regarded
- Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive and prepared to lead by example
- High attention to detail with an ability to work without supervision
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate across various teams within the organization
- A process driven individual who is highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
