Description

We are currently recruiting for an Operator Mechanical to join our team at the Pine Creek Power Station in the Northern Territory. The roster will be 8 days on / 6 days off and reports into the Northern Territory Operations Manager. This position would ideally be based out of Darwin. As the Operator Mechanical you will be responsible for all aspects of operating and maintaining Gas and Steam Turbine Engines and power generation equipment at the Pine Creek Power Station. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain and operate Solar Mars 100 Gas Turbines and Peter Brotherhood Steam Turbine.

  • Maintain and operate Water Treatment Plant

  • Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems.

  • Perform regular inspection and maintenance of above equipment to a high standard.

  • Monitor the process to ensure optimum output.

  • Carry out routine housekeeping duties.

  • Utilise the Oracle Maintenance Management and Quality Assurance Systems as part of the daily functions.

  • Maintain warehouse and stock inventory.

  • Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations.

  • Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors.

  • Any other duties appropriate to the level and responsibility of the position as required.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Mechanical trade or certificate qualifications

  • Experience in operating and maintaining Gas Turbines.

  • Experience in operating and maintaining Steam Turbines is desirable.

  • First Aid Certificate desirable

  • Current drivers’ licence is essential.

  • Willingness to work a rostered shift.

  • Ability to work in a small multi-skilled work team.

  • Ability to work autonomously in remote location environments.



You will be a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent communications skills and work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment.
