About the Role
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Nightshift Leading Hand Diesel Fitter to join our team on a significant civil/mining project based in Orange, NSW. This is a full-time FIFO position on an 8/6 roster travelling from Brisbane to Orange. 

Responsibilities will include

  • Lead a team of experienced Diesel Fitters.
  • Repair, servicing and maintenance of earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles.
  • Implement and adhere to asset maintenance scheduling. 
  • Carry out lockout and tag-out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.
  • Provide technical expertise to project teams and provide basic service training to plant operators where required.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Trade Qualification – Heavy Plant 
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes.
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
