THE ROLE:

Cornell Diesel Systems in Wetherill Park NSW are seeking to appoint a Motor Mechanic to perform a range of mechanical/diagnostic tests to repair and service motor vehicles in line with company policy and management instruction.

The ideal candidate is adept and assured in using cutting-edge computer diagnostic tools to identify problems and is aware of how to seek out affordable solutions for all their customers. The Technician will be required to get their hands dirty immediately as they will be working with a constant stream of vehicles that need maintenance and repairs.

Diagnose vehicles with signs and symptoms, and then utilize your experience to suggest the necessary repairs and carry them out. As we continue our mission to establish ourselves as a nationally recognized company, there are numerous opportunities for additional education and training.

IDEALLY, YOU WILL POSSESS

Perform diagnostic and fault finding on a numerous range of vehicles

• Vehicle registration and inspections

• Service and maintain a wide range of vehicles

• Perform mechanical repairs

• Build a sound knowledge of the company’s structures, programs, tools and equipment

• Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding, acquiring best repair order and approach to service and repairs

• General Servicing and maintenance of vehicles

• Identifying & repairing technical issues

• Identifying additional work as required & completing all work as per Manufacturer Repair times and retail standards

• Completing quality and timely work to meet Customer needs as per the Repair Order

• Diesel experience

• Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment

• Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task where required, and punctual to meet our customer requirements

• Time management

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Motor Mechanic (General and/or Diesel)

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

• Diagnostic Experience highly regarded

• Minimum 3 years experience
