Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing ingredients in large quantities, managing cooking times and temperatures for bulk cooking
  • Maintain safe and hygienic food preparation and storage areas, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements
  • Conduct daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers and storage areas, to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness in the kitchen. This includes ensuring all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
  • Supporting our team of chefs with a strong emphasis on timeliness and presentation
  • Engaging in professional and friendly interactions with both guests and staff 

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial hospitality industry
  • Proof of Australian Citizenship or Residency is required
  • A team player with the capability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to work, day and/or night shifts if required
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively complete both written and practical assessments
  • Remote work experience (highly regarded)
  • Class C, Manual Driver’s Licence (highly regarded)
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening
  • A National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain
  • Certificate II Hospitality (highly regarded)

Application/On-boarding Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a 5–10-minute video introduction
  • A phone interview to be conducted by the Talent Acquisition team
  • Complete Civeo paperwork and provide relevant pre-employment documents, including a National Police Check certificate.
