Job Description:
The Mechanical Technician accountabilities include:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on plant and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency and quality
- Perform the Permit Holder role within the Permit to Work system, including isolation reviews and rik assessment development, review and toolbox talks.
- Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (Maximo)
- Intervene on unsafe acts / safety concerns.
- Provide inputs into improvements including safety, quality or process improvements
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Provide assistance in major maintenance works such as turnarounds and equipment overhauls.
- Coordinate and supervise turnaround activities as required
- Provide input into handover of equipment for maintenance from and to operations
- Participate in turnaround Toolbox meetings
