Fitters need to ensure all underground mobile and fixed mechanical equipment on site is maintained to the approved safety standards and mechanical availability/reliability is optimised, also carry out cost control without compromising the life of major components of mobile and fixed equipment, and maintain accurate records to identify any ongoing problems to ensure compliance with Mine safety and inspection regulations.

• Minimum 5 years Underground mining experience.
• Capable of operating all mobile equipment for maintenance purposes.
• Knowledge an application of safe and reliable mechanical maintenance practices to maximise equipment availability and productivity.
• In-dept working knowledge of underground HSEQ practices.
