About the Role 

We have an opportunity for experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Kwinana. We are interested in your experience supervising maintenance crews, planning of maintenance work and managing job costs. You will have an outcome driven approach with the ability to positively influence and motivate your crew while upholding Downer's Zero Harm culture with a genuine commitment to the health and safety of all employees.

• Direct and control maintenance activities to ensure that standards of safety, quality, cost and performance are observed and that time schedules are met
• Review and authorise maintenance program and completion schedules and delegate activities for the day-to-day direction of the mechanical crew
• Establish and maintain effective communications with the client and field staff through discussion and direct communications, holding meetings and any arrangements required to ensure a close and good working relationship
• Ensure reports are regular and communicated on all field activities, identifying any potential or existing concerns and problems that may affect project performance
• Be responsible for good housekeeping conditions in all areas associated with material storage/issue

About You  

• Trade license or appropriate tickets (Engineering - Mechanical Trade) where appropriate
• Construction Industry Awareness Training Card
• C Class Drivers Licence
• White/Blue Card, Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets
• Certificate III in Management (desirable)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory role     
• Demonstrated experience in driving a Zero Harm Culture within teams
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams to achieve results and objectives
