Mechanical Supervisor (162374)

• $102.58 per/hour (all-inclusive rate) | FIFO from Perth | SMP & Hotworks maintenance at Barrow Island 
• Join the Turnaround (TAR) team. Position commencing Mid-May with the main event going live from the 1st of June 
• Lead a team of 10-15 Mechanical Fitters across Mechanical, Hotworks , Welding scope of works  
   

About the Role:  

Ventia is seeking a trade qualified SMP/Mechanical Supervisor for our LNG maintenance contract. As part of the Turnaround team, you'll oversee and manage Mechanical trades in pipefitting, boilermaking, hotworks, and mechanical assets across the LNG plant. Your role will include field supervision, management of labour and work orders, and ensuring work is done safely, on schedule, and meets client specifications.

Qualifications: 

• Mandatory 
• Relevant Trade certificate in Mechanical /Boilermaker/Sheet Metal/Welding  

• Enter and work in confined spaces valid within 3 years end of August 2025 

• Work safely at heights valid withing valid within 3 years end of August 2025 

• Gas test atmospheres valid withing valid within 3 years end of August 2025 

• C-Class Driver’s License 
• Construction Induction White Card  
   

Desirable 

• Work Safely at Heights (3-year validity, highly regarded) 
• Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (3-year validity, highly regarded) 
• Cert 4 Leadership & Management (highly regarded) 
• Current First Aid Certificate (highly regarded) 
• High Risk Licenses (highly regarded) 

 
Key Skills & Experience: 

• Supervisory experience in Oil & Gas or Mining shutdowns 
• Managing multi-discipline trades (Mechanical, Boilermakers, Pipe Fitters) 
• Experience with valve, bolting, hot works, and piping scopes 
• Strong interpersonal skills 
• SAP, JDE and work order program experience preferred 
• Ability to follow HSEQ procedures and foster a positive site culture
