Wood is seeking expressions of interest for Mechanical and or Piping Engineers of all levels and experience to join our operations team based in Gladstone.
Responsibilities
- Executes discipline input to engineering projects
- Organises, executes and coordinates assignments within agreed budget and schedule
- Ensure safe project execution and adherence to Safety in Design requirements
- Applicable role accountabilities to level of experience
- Contribute to innovative solutions to meet the project objectives
- Ensures technically sound, fit-for-purpose solutions are developed and documented.
- Quality Assurance – work within the provisions and guidelines in line with Wood's Quality Assurance systems
Qualifications
- Must be degree qualified with proven experience, predominantly in the Oil & Gas or Mining/Mineral sectors
- Experience may include conceptual, FEED, detailed design, and site construction experience
- Experience may be in design, operation, construction/commissioning and general engineering of oil and gas, metals/mining plant facilities.
- Capable of applying engineering techniques and makes decisions on engineering problems and methods
- Capable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and clients’ representatives
- Proven comprehension and application of applicable Australian and International Codes & Standards
- RPEQ is preferred but the ability to work towards obtaining this highly desirable
