About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team at our Chandala Mineral Separation Plant where we offer the perfect balance of work and lifestyle. Say goodbye to FIFO schedules and the hassle of peak-hour traffic—be home after every shift!

Located in Muchea, just 51km northeast of Perth CBD at the end of Tonkin Highway, our site is ideally positioned for those living in the councils of Chittering, Swan, Joondalup, or Wanneroo.

Offer a family friendly roster on 4 Days on / 4 Days Off / 4 Nights On / 4 Days Off

The position is offered on permanent basis, completing shift coverage of the plant once trained and confident.

 Main duties include:

• Provide maintenance  support to the production team to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform maintenance activities such as; fault finding, installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment, as required across site.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitter / Machinist) with at least 7 years’ experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a cohesive, multi-trade maintenance team
• Previous experience gained within a complex fixed plant processing environment such as a smelter, chemical plant or refinery.
• Extensive experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, fans, filters, and agitators.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated strong commitment to safety

TO BE ELGIBILE YOU MUST

• Live within 45 mins from Muchea due to the 12 hour shifts.
