With purpose-built facilities located in both Queensland and New South Wales, NEPEAN Longwall offers a full suite of after-sales services enabling it to support products throughout their life cycle. NEPEAN Longwall’s corporate headquarters is located in Mackay, Queensland. This purpose-built facility provides comprehensive after-sales service and support to the region’s customers.

Our Opportunity
Due to continued growth, NEPEAN Longwall is currently seeking Mechanical Fitters to join the team on 6-month contract roles, with opportunities for full time roles based on performance. These opportunities are full-time and based in Kurri Kurri, NSW, with AM and PM shift options.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assembly and disassembly of capital and used underground mining materials handling equipment, mainly Roof Supports, AFC and BSL Overhauls

• Minor welding and other support tasks

• Assisting in the training of apprentices by demonstrating correct work procedures

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the designated workplace and general workshop to 5S standards

Future opportunities within the NEPEAN group may also present for the right candidate.

The Right Person
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

• A current trade certificate or equivalent qualifications

• Legal rights to work in Australia

• Good organisational and time management skills

• The ability to work both independently and within a team environment
