Description

The role involves working in a hybrid capacity, where you'll be based both in the workshop and in the field to handle service repairs. Your main responsibility is to ensure plant reliability and availability while maintaining the safety and regulatory standards set by Downer. This role requires technical skills, hands-on experience with heavy plant machinery, trucks or equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in both environments.

What you’ll bring 

Key Requirements:
  • Trade Qualification: Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Technician, Fitter, or equivalent (essential).
  • Licenses: HR (Heavy Rigid) and Forklift Licenses are desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Auto electrical experience is an advantage.
    • Hydraulic knowledge is essential.
    • Experience with mobile plant and equipment.
    • Strong fault-finding skills and breakdown support capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to Safety: A strong focus on Zero Harm culture.
