Mechanical Fitter – Surat Basin, QLD

• Full-Time Fixed Term Role: 18 days on, 10 days off roster flying in on Monday day (1 of roster) and flying out on Friday (first day of RNR)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Downer’s Energy and Utilities business has opportunities for Mechanical Fitters to join our project team in Surat Basin, Queensland. We can offer an immediate start for the right candidate on a Full-time, basis, FIFO from Brisbane. In this role you will work as a part of the site team throughout the Gas fields with the work scope consisting of installation and maintenance on wellhead surface infrastructure and compression facilities ensuring that work is completed safely, effectively and to the required standard.

ABOUT YOU

• Trade Qualified: Hold a mechanical trade qualification working within a heavy industrial environment, with previous oil & gas experience
• Technically Proficient: Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety
• Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Manual Car Driving Licence, Gas Test Atmospheres, High Risk Licence WP and Working at Heights (within 2 years validity).
• Advantageous Qualifications; MR or HR Licence, High Risk Licence LF, DG, RI.
