About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, proven experience in fitting and maintenance, and the ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and company policies.
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults.
- Liaise with Managers and other department Team Leaders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and timeframes.
- Contributing to a positive team environment and mentoring apprentices
Requirements:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Forklift, EWP, and confined space tickets (desirable).
- Sound computer literacy (Outlook, Word)
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and producing high-quality work
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical (incl. drug & alcohol screening)
