Service Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking an Mechanical Fitter with various skills and a great attitude to complete maintenance on water and waste water equipment
Join a small local team, for a large national company, providing essential services for the community by maintaining and upgrading water and wastewater infrastructure across the Central Highlands, and Western region.
This opportunity would suit experienced maintenance fitters, with exposure to pumps, drive systems and with fabrication capabilities.
If you are a self starter, can work autonomously, or in a team, and enjoy doing interesting and innovative work to the highest quality, then this may be the job for you.
Sewer maintenance, all weather work, and participation in an on call roster are all requirements of the position with the potential for overtime
Nature of position: Permanent, Full-Time

Reporting Line: Works Co-ordinator
Key Responsibilities
HSEQ
Initiate and/or follow actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in processes or systems;
Identify, initiate, recommend and assist in the issue resolution process;
Promote positive HSEQ culture in the workplace;
Ensure all vehicle, plant and equipment complies with all HSEQ related policies and regulations

For this role, we require an individual with
Working from Heights Accreditations preferred;
Confined Space Accreditation preferred;
Elevated Work Platform preferred;
Heavy Rigid license preferred
Industrial mechanical and control systems
Asset maintenance including pumps and infrastructure
Fault Finding / problem solving
Welding and fabrication advantageous
Commissioning
