Support Vehicles Australia is seeking a Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Bassendean.

As a leading Design and Manufacture organization supplying bespoke heavy equipment to key clients primarily in the Mining Industry within Western Australia since 2002, we offer a safe and diverse working environment with exposure to a variety of mobile mining support service equipment.

SVA requires a person who has experience in hydraulic circuit reading, hose making and the fitout/assembly of New Equipment. On the job product training will be provided.

  • $47 - $50 per hour flat rate (approx $120,000 per annum) (rate offered will be in line with qualifications and experience).

  • Full time employment, Monday to Friday, some Saturday work. (average 47-52 hours per week)

Skills:


  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Australian Recognised preferred)

  • Proven mechanical experience in a similar role

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:


  • Perform mechanical fitting tasks including assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of heavy equipment

  • Read hydraulic circuits and perform hose making as required

  • Carry out fitout/assembly tasks for new equipment according to specifications

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions

  • Attend various sites in the Perth Metro area

  • Opportunity to provide Product/Warranty Support in Remote Locations of WA
