About the role

As part of our Hard Facilities Management division, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining mechanical systems to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient hospital operations. 

This is a full-time opportunity working across a rotating 24/7 roster, including after-hours shifts when required, 5 days on 2 days off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and reactive repairs on HVAC and mechanical plant systems.
  • Assist with new equipment installations and system change-outs across central plant facilities.
  • Contribute to the development of Safe Work Instructions, Job Safety Analyses, and Risk Assessments.
  • Accurately maintain service records, job sheets, and maintenance logs.

About you

Key attributes and skills:

  • Trade qualified (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitter & Turner or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Solid understanding of WHS practices and safe work procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and service documentation.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
