UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking Mechanical Designer specialising in mechanical and piping systems to work across brownfield and asset maintenance projects for fuel terminals or petrochemical settings under our PEM&AM contract.

Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer you will provide design and drafting services that meet project delivery and engineering standards. You will work in collaboration with our Engineering, Asset, and Project Management teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise your extensive experience in 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems to lead and support your peers.
  • Engage in Model Review Sessions and compile periodic progress reports
  • Recommend actions to rectify project delays and implement initiatives for product improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

About You

  • 5+ years of design and drafting experience with tank and piping design on green and brownfield projects in the oil & gas industry.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other related software
  • Advantageous experience in equipment modeling, drawing management, surveying, and laser scanning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
