We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Apprentice to join our workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a hands on career in mechanical fitting or boilermaking with full training provided.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain exposure to a wide variety of mechanical and workshop tasks, including:

  • Assisting with the assembly and construction of vibrating screens.
  • Using a range of hand and power tools.
  • Forklift operation and training in overhead crane use.
  • Picking, packing, and identifying spare parts for customer dispatch.
  • Supporting machine builds, testing, and quality checks.
  • Assisting with gearbox strip downs, measurement, inspection, and rebuilds.
  • Learning mechanical testing procedures.
  • Attending customer sites when required, representing Aury Australia professionally.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with optional overtime.

Required Skills & Attributes
  • Experience working in a workshop environment.
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
  • Overhead crane experience (advantageous).
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • A positive, "can do" attitude with punctuality and reliability.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands on work.
  • Ability to take instruction and follow procedures.
  • Willingness to work away when required.
  • Full, unrestricted driver’s licence.
Essential Requirements
  • Ability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
  • Ability to pass random Drug & Alcohol testing.
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
