About the Project
This large-scale greenfield development is progressing through its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), with early works and execution phases to follow.
The project presents the complexities typical of major gold and copper developments in the region:
- Challenging terrain and climate, requiring robust planning for bulk earthworks and logistics
- Remote location, with procurement of critical items and infrastructure central to study success
- Complex supply chains, with equipment and materials to be sourced internationally across Asia, Europe, and China
- Local regulatory frameworks, where accurate study inputs and vendor engagement are critical to project approvals
About the Role
As a Senior Piping Mechanical Designer, you will support the development of study-level and detailed design deliverables across major mining, mineral processing projects. Responsibilities include:
- Producing design deliverables for piping systems, mechanical layouts
- Developing 3D piping models, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings suitable for study, FEED, and detailed design phases
- Ensuring design deliverables align with project requirements, codes, and standards
- Working collaboratively with engineers and designers across multiple offices to maintain consistency and quality in design outputs
About You
We are seeking Senior Piping Mechanical Designers with:
- Strong design capability in piping systems, plant layouts, and mechanical equipment gained whilst working on large scale mining projects
Hands-on modeling experience with either Autocad or Microstation
- Prior experience supporting feasibility studies and execution deliverables for mining projects
- Ability to adapt study-level outcomes into refined designs for detailed engineering and execution
- Collaborative approach to working across offices, disciplines, and project teams
Roster & Conditions
- Monday to Friday, based in Perth CBD
- Hybrid work options – up to 1-day WFH per week
- Hours: 40 per week plus approved overtime
