Key Responsibilities:

As a Marine Electrician, you will play a key role in electrical maintenance, installation, and upgrades across a wide variety of marine infrastructure and vessel-based systems, including but not limited to:

• Electrical systems installation and maintenance on marine vessels, port facilities, and coastal infrastructure

• Servicing and commissioning of marine-specific power systems including generators, switchboards, and UPS units

• Integration and troubleshooting of automated control systems (including PLCs and SCADA)

• Working with HV and LV systems in wet and corrosive environments

• Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on pumps, motors, navigation lighting, and instrumentation

• Supporting dockside maintenance and retrofit projects

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

• Trade qualification in Electrotechnology (A-Class Electrician)

• Experience in marine, defence, or coastal infrastructure (highly regarded)

• Familiarity with marine-grade equipment, corrosion prevention, and waterproofing practices

• Understanding of maritime regulations and electrical classification zones (desirable)

• Strong fault-finding, documentation, and communication skills

• Ability to work on and around water safely, including confined spaces and heights

• A passion for team-based work, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements:

• A-Class Electrical Trade Qualification (Victoria)

• Current Driver’s Licence

• CPR/LVR certification

• Ability to obtain a Police Clearance and Working with Children Check

• White Card (Construction Induction)

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening

• Australian Citizenship (Defence and Port work requirements)

• EWP, Working at Heights, and Marine First Aid (preferred or willing to obtain)

• MSIC card (or willing to apply – support provided)
