Maintenance Fitter - AllansfordWe're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Allansford, Victoria. 6am to 2pm Monday - Friday Shift
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Refrigeration & Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining our facility and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining preventative maintenance, breakdown response, contractor management, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across site equipment and infrastructure.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding and repairs.
Help minimise downtime and improve asset reliability.
Investigate maintenance issues and implement practical solutions.
Coordinate and support contractors and trade partners on site.
Review contractor safety documentation and issue permits to work where required.
Maintain critical assets including doors, dock levellers, refrigeration-related equipment, racking, lighting, security infrastructure, and site grounds.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety, food safety, HACCP, FSANZ and compliance requirements.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
You'll Bring
Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, food processing or similar environment
Strong experience with breakdown maintenance, fault finding and preventative maintenance programs
Ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
Impressive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient time management and organisational skills
Highly Regarded
Experience using MEX or other Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Experience working within food manufacturing, cold storage or highly regulated environments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
