Maintenance Fitter

The Opportunity

For the next six months (and possibly longer), we require a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dedicated team. Working indoors and out, you will help maintain and improve our nursery facilities, ensuring buildings, greenhouses, irrigation systems and outdoor areas are safe, functional and operating at their best.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Machinery & equipment: Operating, servicing and repairing automated planting machinery and robotics, conveyors, pumps and a range of agricultural equipment.

• Breakdowns & repairs: Jumping in quickly to troubleshoot faults, resolve breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Safety & compliance: Identifying, reporting and addressing hazards to help maintain a safe working environment.
• Teamwork & communication: Working closely with the team to deliver assigned preventative maintenance tasks and keep priorities moving.

About you

• Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter
• CMMS experience (MEX or other planned maintenance programs preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and proven root cause analysis
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience (highly regarded)
• Small motor experience (advantageous)
• Forklift licence (advantageous)
• Restricted electrical qualifications (advantageous)
• Intermediate computer skills
• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Current driver’s licence
