Gold Coast Bakery is a family-owned business with a large-scale production facility based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. We supply fresh bakery products daily to retail, wholesale, and school customers throughout Southeast Queensland.

We’re currently on the lookout for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our close-knit team and ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our machinery and equipment. This is a full-time role with some rotating weekend work required—ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintain & Repair Equipment – Ensure all plant machinery and equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Preventative Maintenance – Perform routine servicing to reduce breakdowns and production downtime
• Troubleshooting – Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs in a fast-paced production environment
• Support New Installs – Assist with the setup and installation of new plant and machinery as the business continues to grow

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade-qualified Fitter (Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent)
• Experience in manufacturing or food production preferred (not essential)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Basic welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and machining skills (ideal but not essential)
• Flexibility to work a full-time roster, including some weekend work
• Familiarity with MEX or CMMS systems (training provided)
