Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production equipment while supporting a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Working on a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off roster, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, equipment improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnose faults and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Complete GMP, SAR, RMS and TAR maintenance activities within agreed timeframes.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Assist with the management and control of site spare parts inventory.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.
- Support and coach Machine Operators in basic troubleshooting and machine operation.
- Contribute to site projects and equipment upgrades.
- Champion a strong safety culture and actively participate in our Zero Harm program.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Engineering Tradesperson.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working to preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to repair, modify and improve machinery and equipment.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to prioritise work and respond effectively to breakdown situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to food safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems.
