Description

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our salad processing facility based in Perth in Bibra Lake. In this busy and exciting role, you will utilize your electrical engineering expertise to maintain and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment.

You will provide first class flexible support to production requirements by undertaking planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance, whilst ensuring established health and safety procedures are continually followed. 

Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with One Harvest safety, health and environment requirements
  • Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the site
  • Responsible for completion of planned maintenance tasks to ensure breakdowns are prioritised to meet production needs
  • Provide technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting
  • To provide detailed account of all work performed and logged in our CMMS (Mex)
  • Support continuous improvement/project implementation
  • Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods
  • Assist with ensuring BRC, and other standards are met

About You:

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude coupled with a great work ethic
  • You will be a fully qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical repairs, equipment failures & fault finding
  • Able to repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
  • You will have a sound understanding of pneumatic systems, electrical drawings, PLC controls, variable, speed drives and general mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work rotating rosters and weekends

Skills And Experiences

Essential qualifications

  • Trade Qualified electrical fitter/mechanic with WA license

Essential experience

  • Able to work to a preventative maintenance program to complete deadlines and tasks as per the program.
  • Able to repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
  • Able to carry out required work while maintaining Occupational Health and Safety Standards
  • Responds to needs of the factory and ancillary departments in a speedy and timely manner.
  • Delivers the requirements as outlined in the service level agreements.
  • Ability to manage small projects and to agreed deliverables.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant state laws and legislation.
  • Qualified with current/relevant Western Australian License.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude as basic mechanical repairs will be required as part of this position.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in food processing environment highly regarded
  • EWP qualification
