Maintenance Electrician

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the team at our Clayton site and assist in the operation of our manufacturing plants by repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow Planned Preventative maintenance programs
• Perform EEHA – Hazardous area inspections.
• Provide maintenance support and technical expertise for specific equipment
• Undertake fault finding and diagnosis of electrical installations, and defect rectification
• Fault find Control and Safety Systems inc. PLC Logic, Scada/HMIs 
• Installation of SWA electrical cabling, instrument cabling and EX-rated glanding.
• Attend to planned and ad-hoc jobs designated to your schedule 
• Commissioning of new Plant and Equipment

Requirements

• Electrical Workers License (VIC)
• Previous experience as an industrial electrician
• Sound knowledge of PLC’s, SCADA & HMI’s
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs
• Strong, logical problem-solving skills
• Excellent understanding of safety systems such as LOTO and work permits.
• Hazardous Area Qualification
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and red lines
• Great communication skills

Desirable

• Instrumentation qualifications or experience
• HV switching operations certification
• Commissioning experience
• Experience with DCS systems
• EWP licence 
• Experience using Maintenance database system - MAXIMO
