Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Carpenter who can work independently and contribute to our ongoing success. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging and undertaking inspections, completing carpentry and handyman related work to the highest standards in support of building projects, renovations, strip out, fit outs.

As a highly motivated, qualified Carpenter, you will use your strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry, combined with a high level of attention to detail and computer skills, to achieve consistently high-quality outcomes for our clients and our business.

Key responsibilities:


  • Undertake all aspects of the Carpentry trade, including reactive and planned maintenance.

  • Accurately quote works.

  • Inspect and arrange the inspection, maintenance, and repair of tools.

  • Monitor the WHSE management system, including safe work method statements (SWMS) to ensure hazards are identified, assessed and controlled.

  • Provide efficient and effective customer service.

  • Ensure all works are compliant to Australian standard.

  • Competently use new technology and learning, and information systems.

  • Effectively use effective interpersonal, communication, influencing and personal presentation skills.

Requirements:

The successful applicant will already have experience and a track record of success in plastering, painting, tiling, and concreting as a minimum, as well as possession of:


  • Trade Certificate (III or IV) in Carpentry or equivalent.

  • A working knowledge of NCC and QBCC standards and tolerances and working knowledge and understanding of and commitment to work health and safety are prerequisites.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).

  • Manual Driver’s License.
