We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Carpenter to join our team in Northgate. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking commercial building maintenance, general construction, and property maintenance tasks with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

• Urgent reactive repairs of damage or breakages
• Programmed maintenance

• A base hourly rate of $42 per hour + paid kilometers between jobs

Responsibilities:
• Perform various works including carpentry, painting, tiling, concreting, plastering, and patching as required.
• Safely and effectively use power tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Completing task in a timely manner and communicating with clear notes using our inhouse software
• Reporting back to the office and clearly communicating task requirements
• Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately to carry out tasks.
• Maintain high standards of safety at all times by following company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate good problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused attitude.
• Work independently or with another team member when required under direction
Skills:
• Trades background with demonstrated skill in the following: Carpentry, tiling, concreting, plastering, painting, or handyman skills
• Demonstrated ability to use power tools/machinery/equipment safely and effectively.
• Proficient in interpreting/reading/working from technical drawings/plans/specifications accurately.
• Strong communication skills both verbal/written with attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment under direction from the Site Manager.
Qualifications:
• Proven previous experience in a similar role and/or skillset, preferably licenced carpenter.
• You will require a current driver's license, and a reliable & suitable vehicle for a tradesperson.
• You will also require a full set of hand tools, larger tools & equipment will be provided as required for the works.
• White (Safety) & Blue (Working with Children) Cards Essential & a Police Check will be conducted upon commencement.
