About your new role


Following the successful award of a long-term Non-Process Infrastructure Works contract, Downer are chasing an experienced LV Mechanic to work on servicing vehicles and machinery around camp for an ongoing permanent 2/2 Roster on an LNG site.



  • Roster: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

  • FIFO from Perth

  • Maintenance and servicing of all site’s light vehicles, forklifts, buggies, mini vans etc 

  • Diagnosis of faults and breakdowns across site fleet 

  • Complete planned maintenance and servicing tasks 

  • Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records on MSD system. 

  • Maintain stock levels of parts and re-order if necessary.  

  • Daily checks of all vehicle hoists 

  • Prioritise daily works.  

  • Regular inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring good working order 

  • Basic computer skills 


About you:


A team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work safely and understand best practice in a maintenance environment and knowledge in the safe use of hand/power tools and equipment required to perform tasks. 

To be successful, you will need to provide all necessary documentation/qualifications/tickets relevant to the position below:



  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – Light Vehicle 

  • Solid experience as a LV Mechanic

  • Current Drivers Licence - C or HR 

  • White/Blue Card

  • Australian work rights
