Description

The ROLE

As a qualified Light Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic based at the Boyer Mill, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of plant, equipment, and fleet assets in a busy industrial environment.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles and mobile plant
  • Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and implementing effective solutions
  • Completing preventative maintenance and inspections to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency
  • Performing breakdown repairs in a timely and safe manner
  • Maintaining accurate service records, job sheets, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborating with site teams and other trades to meet operational targets and deadlines
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with WHS requirements and site safety standards


Skills And Experiences

About YOU

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safe work practices.

You will have:

  • Trade Qualification (either Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant)
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Forklift Licence and other heavy vehicle experience would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience servicing and maintaining vehicles, plant, or heavy equipment in a workshop or site-based environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
