Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of light vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair various types of light vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Replace or repair faulty parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation and performance
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal automotive training program or apprenticeship
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and components
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
