We have an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join Powertech on a Renewable Hydrogen Project
Position Overview:
- Role: Leading Hand Mechanical Commissioning Technician
- Start date: ASAP 2026
- Duration: 5-8 months
- Roster: 2x1
- Hours per day: 10.5
- Rate: $105/hr + super on ALL hours worked
- Point of Hire: Perth, however we will cover flights from any major capital in Australia
Scope of Work:
- Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks
- Commission rotating and static equipment
- Support commissioning of hydrogen-specific system
- Lead a team of mechanical technicians during commissioning activities
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Act as the primary interface between commissioning, construction, and engineering teams
- Mentor junior technicians and enforce best practice
About You:
- Qualified Fitter/Mechanical tradesperson
- Proven experience in mechanical commissioning within oil & gas, LNG, or hydrogen projects
- Previous experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role
- Construction White card
- CPR/LVR (Desirable)
- First Aid (Desirable)
