We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboured to join Service Stream’s fast-growing Utilities team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic services and maintenance activities following established instructions to contribute to efficient and effective daily operations.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Banyo
Reporting Line: Project Manager
Key Accountabilities:
- Work under general supervision, utilizing skills to complete clearly defined and routine tasks.
- Perform daily operational duties efficiently, following established procedures and timelines.
- Support safe and effective site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with trenching, rock breaking, sorting, backfilling, and general site clean-up.
- Aid in the installation and laying of water and sewer pipes.
- Perform basic manual labour tasks, including material handling and equipment setup.
- Conduct daily checks on tools and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in pipe laying, including installation, alignment, and connection of water and sewer pipes.
- Familiarity with civil construction sites and general laboring duties.
- Understanding of trenching, backfilling, and ground preparation for pipe installation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment, following instructions and site safety protocols.
- Ability to use hand and power tools relevant to pipe laying and general site work.
- Valid and current driver’s license, with reliable transport to and from job sites.
- Construction White Card (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and safe work practices.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions.
- A proactive, reliable, and hardworking attitude, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
