About the role


Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a full time Journeyman Plumber to to carry out a variety of tasks as required within Council’s Water and Waste Section in order to satisfy the requirements of the relevant Australian plumbing codes and other required standards.


Key Requirements



  • Certificate III in Plumbing

  • Sound experience and knowledge in the supervision, coordination and control of staff

  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the laying of water and sewer pipes

  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the construction of house drainage

  • Possess a current NSW Class C driver's license

  • Possess Work Health and Safety Construction Induction card (White card)

  • Sound knowledge in the metric system of measurement

  • Experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry

  • Take Annual Leave in accordance with the applicable leave roster

  • Ability to work on call

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.


Salary: $1,155.40 - $1,213.83 per week + adverse working conditions allowance level 1 of $18.92 per week + superannuation


Position Status: Permanent Full-time 


Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week
