Summary:
We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic individuals who are reliable, energetic and safety‑focused who are keen to learn new skills that are aligned to the Joinery/Cabinet Making industry. Learning the fabrication of solid surface materials (similar to Corian) is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in detail and wishes to build a career in a unique and sought after industry.
The role involves the complete manufacture, packing and dispatch of custom manufactured items in line with technical specifications and quality standards. Please note there is no offsite work required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks and hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Operate relevant hand tools and machinery under supervision to achieve desired finishes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge related to solid surface finishing and general fabrication.
- Willingness to learn additional skills to support team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and upskilling within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Minimum Year 11 (HSC equivalent) completion or a demonstrated positive outcome in relevant Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and machinery is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
- Basic computer skills or eagerness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Forklift license would be advantageous but not essential
