Job Description

About the Role

We currently have multiple vacancies for Infrastructure Mechanical Maintainers. Reporting to an Infrastructure Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heavy infrastructure and mine support equipment. Your focus will be on maintaining assets to a high standard while meeting operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair a range of equipment, including - Large Mine Dewatering Pumps (Legra, TruFlo, Sykes), Mine Water Transfer Systems, Ancillary Support Equipment (EWP’s, Forklifts, Skid Steer Loaders), Gensets, Hydrocarbon Distribution Systems, Fixed Plant and Fixed Infrastructure

  • Diagnose equipment faults and perform repairs in accordance with OEM requirements and site processes.

  • Provide maintenance support across the HVO site to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime.

  • Actively participate in a results-driven culture, focusing on teamwork, proactive safety performance, and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or equivalent.

  • Open-cut coal mining experience (desirable).

  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and knowledge of SAP (desirable).

  • Previous exposure to mine infrastructure maintenance (desirable).

  • A strong commitment to safety-first work practices, including adherence to No Plan, No Work policies and procedures.

  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

  • A current and valid manual Australian driver’s licence.

  • Experience in work area permit systems and demonstrated compliance.

  • High-risk work licences such as Forklift, EWP, and Working at Heights (highly regarded).

Roster & Location

  • Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday roster (10.5-hour rotating day/night shifts).

  • Based at the HVO Southern Facility.
