We are currently looking for an Industrial Vehicle Spray painter to join our team at our Mildura branch

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Industrial Spray Painter is responsible for carrying out quality and timely preparation and spray painting and sand blasting to either new truck body builds, refurbish or repair second-hand equipment including insurance repairs in accordance with best industry practices.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation and painting of trailer subframes, truck frames truck panels and cabins

• Preparation and painting of all in house made truck trays trailer hitches and components

• Preparation and painting of aluminium and steel tanks, Bullbars and custom made brackets

• Undertake a wide range of paint preparation duties including blasting, body prep, body repairs

• Mix paint in accordance with customer and project specifications using world class Glasurit painting systems with training available on systems and techniques

• Conduct spray painting utilising safe and efficient practices

• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment

• Ensure quality control of finished product

• Manage paint and waste material in accordance with safe work practices

• Trade qualified or relevant experience within the vehicle industry

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Ability to work under time constraints

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to work safely as part of a team

• Self-motivated and takes initiative with good communication skills

• Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety
