Play a hands-on role in supporting Australia’s national Defence capability.
We’re seeking a skilled Industrial Machinist to contribute to high-priority research and development activities involving explosive ordnance. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a secure, purpose-driven environment where precision and safety are paramount.
What You’ll Do
• Perform precision machining on explosive ordnance (EO)
• Maintain laboratories and manufacturing equipment, including calibration
• Ensure compliance documentation for safe laboratory operations is current and complete
What You Bring
• Strong skills in machining and fabrication of mechanical components
• Experience with CNC operation and programming, as well as manual machinery
• Ability to interpret CAD models, technical drawings, and sketches
• Commitment to safe working practices, especially around hazardous materials
• Experience with explosive ordnance is desirable but not essential, training will be provided
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (desirable)

• Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
