About the role

This newly created role will support the Industrial Painting team with surface preparation and site logistics to deliver high‑quality protective coating outcomes. This role suits someone reliable, safety‑minded and eager to learn in a heavy‑industry environment.



Description

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with surface preparation (washing, degreasing, hand/mechanical tool cleaning) and masking under supervision.
  • Handle materials, mix coatings under direction and maintain tidy, safe work areas.
  • Set up and pack down equipment; basic operation of tools (e.g., needle gun, grinder) as trained.
  • Act as safety spotter and support confined space/working at heights activities as authorised.
  • Support shutdowns and routine maintenance tasks; follow instructions and report hazards promptly.


Skills And Experiences

About you

  • Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in heat, at heights and in confined spaces (with training).
  • No formal trade qualification required; prior labouring or industrial experience advantageous.
  • Tickets desirable: Construction Induction (White Card), Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Forklift (LF).
