HVAC Technician

About your new role

Following the successful award of a long-term Non-Process Infrastructure Works contract, Downer are chasing an experienced HVAC technician to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment for an ongoing permanent 2/2 Roster on an LNG site.

• Roster: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off


• FIFO from Perth


• Performing routine maintenance 


• Ordering and maintaining equipment


• Perform servicing and maintenance on refrigeration equipment. 


• Perform servicing and maintenance on split system air conditioners.


• Perform servicing and maintenance on ice machine and chiller units.


• Basic computer skills

About you:

A team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work safely and understand best practice in a maintenance environment and knowledge in the safe use of hand/power tools and equipment required to perform tasks. 

To be successful, you will need to provide all necessary documentation/qualifications/tickets relevant to the position below:

• Trade Cert – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning


• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning License


• Electrical License (Restricted)


• Class C Driver’s License


• White Card


• CPR/LVR


• First Aid


• Working at Heights (Desirable)


• Elevated Work Platform (Desirable) 


• Confined Space (Desirable)


• Minimum 5+ years post trade experience in the construction/maintenance industry
