Alphacool is seeking an enthusiastic Qualified HVAC-R Technician, to provide assistance and install, calibrate, troubleshoot and service equipment, systems and hardware.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Alphacool is a locally owned family business with 90 staff across HVAC-R, Electrical, and Plumbing divisions. Our customer base is made up of large Supermarkets, Government, Marine, Industrial, Commercial and Domestic clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC-R systems, ensuring optimal operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to enhance efficiency.
• Document service actions and maintain records of work performed for compliance and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.-
• Must be able to communicate with clients and customers

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC-R troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and diagnostic testing tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education/Certification:

• Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Essential (all must be valid):

• Current QLD Driver’s Licence
• Refrigerant Handling License (ARCTIC)
• QLD Restricted Electrical License
• CPR & LVR
• General Construction Induction (White card)
• Working Safely at Heights
• QBCC Occupational licence
• Elevated Work Platform (over 11m)
• Asbestos Awareness
