About the Role:

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic HVAC Project Engineer who “thinks outside of the box” to be part of our team based at our North Lakes office.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager and working alongside the QLD Manager and an experienced team of Project Engineers and Project Managers you will play an important role in engineering design for both D&C and fully designed projects where you will be involved from project inception to handover.

What will I be doing?

  • Engineering support for our QLD HVAC Project Team throughout construction phase
  • Engineering design for new projects, both D&C and fully documented
  • Evaluating HVAC tender documentation, sourcing pricing from suitable suppliers and sub-contractors and preparing tender proposals for clients
  • Preparing alternative design proposals for fully designed and design and construct projects
  • Heat / cooling loads and static calculations
  • Writing engineering reports and producing engineering documentation
  • Reviewing mechanical drawings
  • Communicating with clients to understand design requirements
  • Site visits and attending meetings

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 5 years’ experience in the Australian HVAC Industry including design and construct projects
  • Broad knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable Australian Standards and Building Codes
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), would be advantageous
  • Experience in REVIT would be beneficial
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trusting and respectful relationships at all levels
  • A strong desire to accept a challenge and deliver results
  • Be able to communicate effectively on design issues at all levels
  • Experience in handling competing priorities utilising outstanding organisational and planning ability
