  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $57,633 to $67,758 + super



The role

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Open Spaces team as Turf Horticultural Labourer. Your role will involve a range of greenkeeping tasks, from edging pathways and garden beds to maintaining sports fields and turfed areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the construction and upkeep of beautiful horticultural displays.
  • Help conserve natural areas within our gardens.
  • Use and maintain horticultural machinery like brush cutters, push mowers, ride-on mowers, and leaf blowers.
  • Implement weed control and assist with the collection of propagation material.
  • Ensure all activities follow health and safety policies to protect staff and visitors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in turf maintenance and general garden upkeep.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
  • Ability to use and maintain horticultural equipment


What is an essential requirement:

  • Current driver’s licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles and willingness to undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry a minimum 15 kilos.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
